The struggle of the refugees gets a first result: from the street protests on 18 and 19 October in Rome, it is now possible to renew the (residence) permits for humanitarian reasons without the certificate of residence.

The accepted request on the possibility of renewing residence permits for humanitarian reasons without the certificate of residence was launched by the Movement of Migrants and Refugees and the USB, during a meeting at the Ministry of the Interior on 25 October, in which they attended the Chief Department for Civil Liberties and Immigration, the Prefect Angela Pria and the Main Director of the Immigration and Asylum Policies, the Prefect Angelo Malandrino.
"Our struggle for a true protection of asylum seekers and against the so called cage ‘Dublin Regulation’ and the hypocrisy of the European Union will continue with the first Brussels Caravan 2014 that will be presented to all EU countries on 18 December 2013. Therefore a mobilization that will be launched also in Italy for mobilization initiatives".
The route of the Caravan for the right of asylum / No Dublin and for freedom of movement , it was decided during the international meeting of 16 November, which took place in Rome with delegations from Belgium, Germany, France and other involved countries such as the Netherlands.
